Going through intumescent fire seal
The opening consists of an intumescent block through which non-combustible cables are pulled.
In the event of a fire, the block reacts actively and starts expanding due to heat. This ensures 100 % sealing
of the area around the cables and prevents the spreading of fire and heat in the cable outlet area.
- Possible placement in both the ceiling and the bottom of the cabinet
- Possible installation of multiple blocks next to each other
- Selection from multiple variants – UKM‑1, UKM‑2
- The advantage of this option is the quick and easy installation of cables through the intumescent block
without the need to seal the opening at the construction site
Two designs are available (see pictures in the right part)
Going through a cutout in a specific part of the cabinet
Cables are pulled through the prepared opening at the place of installation of the switchboard, and
subsequently the entire space of the cutout is sealed with a fire seal. Proper fire sealing must be carried out
by a qualified and certified person.
- The cable passage opening can be located both at the bottom and on the top.
- In the case of the SP wall-mounted cabinet, it is possible to prepare the opening also in the back of the
cabinet
- Opening for cables of any size (up to 75 % of the area)
- Sealing of the opening is done only during the final placement of the switchboard on the construction site
-
- The advantage of this option is significant variability of cable inlets into the cabinet and a lower price
